Welcome to My Corner
Dear (Potential) Readers,
After some contemplation and a nice hot shower, I have decided to start a review blog. This past semester, I took a class on patent engineering that required us to have a blog. I enjoyed the blogging experience so much, that I thought I would start another one, a bit more hobby related this time.
Despite being an engineer, I absolutely love the arts. Mostly performance and written arts. Movies, TV shows, books, music, theater, you name it. If I can watch it, read it, listen to it, experience it, then I know I can blog about it. I want to write about these things not only because I want to get my opinion out into the world, which, don't get me wrong, I do, but also because many of these films/shows/books often make a great impact on my life. I think about them for days on end, and often come up with analyses or words of wisdom that are best put down on (virtual) paper. I will also occasionally venture into unknown territories such as speeches, food, sports, or other activities, but the main focus here is entertainment media.
Naturally, starting an opinion blog, I understand that people will sometimes disagree. I welcome disagreement and debates. If you think I'm wrong, feel free to comment! I would love to have a discussion with you, as long as it remains civil of course. Being able to express your opinions is healthy, and I need this as an outlet for my health. So if I offend anyone, I do apologize in advance.
If you happen to agree with me, please comment as well! It's always nice to get a few people on my side :)
Now to a few disclaimers. I am an engineering student (soon to be graduate, 2 more weeks!) who has no official training in being a critic. This is something that I am doing for fun, and I'm sure there are many of you out there who know more about the subjects I will be discussing than I do. But the point of this blog is for me to have a little fun, do a little writing (I don't do enough of it in my career field), and mark the big events in my life through entertainment and writing. And in the process I hope to get to know all of you a little better and ideally you'll get to know me a little better too.
