Lobby Baby
Sometimes I forget how funny and talented Seth Meyers is. Obviously I appreciate getting my news from him on a weekly basis, but delivering punchlines about headlines is very different from a one hour stand-up routine, which is what Mr. Meyers subjects us to in Lobby Baby. It is jarring, as Seth himself points out, to see him out of context of his news desk. I didn't even know he did things standing ;) But notwithstanding that, his most recent Netflix special is a delight, performed and filmed in my home town of Minneapolis (the more excitingly named twin of course)! The hour long episode covers a range of topics from his wife's food poisoning the night before their wedding to being Jew-ish to the arrival of the titular Lobby Baby and the consequences of the aftermath (sorry Kevin) to #parenthood. Of course, it wouldn't be a Seth Meyers special if he didn't bring up Trump, the man who has provided him with so much content for Late Night for the past 3 years. I have ...
